Where can I sleep with my RV?

As in most European countries, wild camping is forbidden in Portugal. Nevertheless, you can spend the night in many places such as campsites, service areas, etc...

You will not be able to park in natural parks, on the edge of a beach or at the exit of a village (unless a sign authorizes it, which is rare). The fines for not respecting these laws on the parking of campers can range from 60 to 300 euros.

Campsites, rest areas or parking areas

You can find everything to accommodate your RV, paying or free of charge, motorhome parks will be your allies in Portugal. And if you need guidance in your search we recommend the iOverlander, Park4night or Caramaps applications, which will give you a good idea of all the places at your disposal to make your stay in motorhome a tailor-made itinerary!

To make a reservation with the campgrounds you will need to know the length of your vehicle and the number of people. Be careful to book sites that allow campers.

Prices vary greatly depending on the season, the destination and the number of services offered. Remember to book your pitches in advance during the summer season, being the most popular, some campsites could be full quickly.
