In Portugal it is forbidden to park anywhere other than in authorized areas. Unlike many other countries, parking is not regulated by prohibition signs but by authorization signs for motorhomes. However, since September 1, 2021, campers can park on parking lots for a maximum of 48 hours per municipality. But the ban remains on a large part of the territory (protected areas and coastline).
