When planning a trip to the United Kingdom by RV, it is good to know that parking in the city is sometimes prohibited.
In London, it is strongly advised to park your RV hire on the outskirts of the city and then use public transit to get to the city centre, otherwise you will have to pay a congestion charge of £11.5 per day and a £10 surcharge ("T-Charge"), for a total of £21.5, just to drive in the London city centre (from 7am to 6pm)
To make your parking easier, mobile applications and websites such as iOverlander, Park4night or Caramaps will be your best friends.
Don't forget that some bridges, tunnels or accesses (often on the outskirts of large cities) may be subject to a fee and that the price may vary depending on your vehicle.
