To rent a car in Norway, you must present a valid driver's license from your home country that obtained at least 12 months ago, your passport or photo ID and your credit card.

If you do not have a European, European Economic Area (Iceland and Liechtenstein), or a roman alphabet driver's license, you have to obtain an international driver's license. Watch out! The international license does not replace your original driver’s license, it only complements it. You must have both documents with you at all times.

Otherwise, you will have to consider renting a child seat with your vehicle. This option will be payable in advance or at the counter, depending on the rental companies.
